Glin Castle, home to the Fitzgerald family, hereditary Knights of Glin, for 800 years. 500 acre desmense with a working farm and formal gardens, pleasure grounds and walled kitchen garden. The castle houses a unique collection of Irish 18th century furniture, paintings and decorative art with magnificent neo classical plasterwork and Corinthian columns. A living memory to one of the last of the great houses to still be lived in by the original family. Glin Castle gardens are open to visitors all year and the castle by appointment. The castle also offers luxury accommodation between March and November.
Situated 50kms from Limerick on the N69 towards Tarbert. 7 kms from Tarbert/ Killimer car ferry.
