Cratloe Wood is a purpose-built private development designed to accommodate students in a friendly village style environment. Providing accommodation for 800 students, the village is just a 10 minute walk from LIT.

The village is made up of 210 apartments, all designed to Fáilte Ireland 3* standard. An apartment can comprise of 2 or 3 bedrooms, with the 3 bedroom apartments containing 2 single rooms, 1 twin room, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen. As part of the design, there is a dedicated study area for each student. The kitchen is fully-fitted and each apartment comes with cable TV, Direct dial telephone and Internet access as standard. The village also caters for students with special needs.

The village is manned by 24 hour security and CCTV. Free car parking is provided for all residents. Laundry facilities are provided as well as a student pavilion comprising a games room, and recreation area. The village has a full maintenance service and refuse collection. As part of its commitment to its students, Cratloe Wood provides an on-site warden and residential caretaker.
