Limerick County is situated in the village of Ballyneety, just 30kms south from Shannon Airport. An 18 hole Championship standard golf course (5,875 metres off the back tees) with 18 sand-based greens and tees all built to US PGA standards. Co-designed by Ryder Cup player Des Smyth and Irish Amateur International Declan Brannigan, the course opened for play in 1994. In 2004, Declan Brannigan was invited to review the overall layout of the course and recommended the redesigning of 5 holes. The redesigned holes opened for play in April 2005 and they have enhanced the course's reputation as one of the best in the South West Region. Year round the greens are rated as among the best in the country. The range of tees make playing the course a most enjoyable experience for all range of handicappers. Executive boardroom and Function room available for business events.
