Feadamair - The Wood of Damar.
The village of Fedamore's Catholic Church, a beautiful stone building, is regarded as being the first Church built in Ireland after the Act of Catholic Emancipation was passed in 1829. Fedamore Glebe House is now a nursing home and the old Church of Ireland Church, for which Glebe House was built in 1740, was demolished in the 1950's. However, the old graveyard is still in use. Nearby is the prominent ruin of Williamstown Castle which had been originally named Bourke Castle and had been renovated in the 19th Century by the then well known Pain Brother Architects. Fedamore is 3km from Limerick County Golf and Country Club on the main Limerick - Bruff R.512 Road.
