Foynes Irish Coffee Festival celebrates the invention of Irish coffee in Foynes, Co. Limerick in 1942 by Chef Joe Sheridan with the world Irish Coffee making championship.
It is a Family Festival featuring the best of Irish entertainers FREE on the Street. The festival is held over three days and nights with Samhlu Street Theatre Parade, Photography Competition, Regatta. Spectacular Fireworks Display over the River Shannon, carnival amusements and much more. Of course the highlight of the Festival is The World Irish Coffee Championship with contestants from Ireland and around the world.
