A literary weekend to commemorate Limerick’s most famous deceased author, Kate O’Brien. The 2006 Kate O'Brien weekend will take place from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th February at two city centre locations; The Daghdha Space @ John's Square and the City Court House in Merchant's Quay. The theme of the weekend will explore the idea of creativity and the Kate O'Brien lecture will be given by the Irish and international artist Dorothy Cross. Other speakers include Mannix Flynn, Louis DePaor, Bill Whelan, Dr. Patrick Bracken. Further information and a programme is available from The Arts Service, Limerick City Council.
