The pattern is the annual festival, held to celebrate the feast day of Our Lady, which is the 15th of August. It is organised by the G.A.A. in Ballylanders and lasts for a weekend. The well-known pattern is always a success with visitors coming from far and near to the event to both enjoy the fiesta and to visit the Blessed well. There are sports and amusements for children, discos and table quizzes for teenagers and adults, adult football and soccer matches.
